Ashely Yu (mono 湘藍) 

Born in Hong Kong

Currently based in Brooklyn, NYC

I am a printmaker, illustrator and designer recently graduated from Pratt Institute. I work in multiple mediums– intaglio, ink on paper, digital illustration, and more. My work explores themes of longing and wonder, deriving much inspiration from nature and experiencing it. While the range of mediums that I work in seem to vary, the themes in which I work in are intertwined with each other through different forms of narratives.​​

I am a fish liker and a bird liker. I am jealous of their freedom sometimes.
